Job Description:

Overview The Customer Service Representative is responsible for investigating, responding and providing information pertaining to patient and insurance payment posting questions and concerns. The CSR investigates and reports back on findings regarding patient and insurance payments and assists in maintaining acceptable accounts receivable balance(s). The CSR verifies payer remits for our patient claims, assigns applicable adjustment codes and investigates accuracy of payment and remit data timely. CSR identifies trends in payment and remit routing, along with possiblie issue and solution for resolution. Responsibilities/Job Description * Responds to inquiries regarding payments, remits, payor electronic enrollment transactions * Investigates and obtains missing payments and remits * Collaborates with Information Technology when troubleshooting or investigating concerns * Post patient and insurance payments with accuracy * Maintains professional working relationships * Ability to work independently while demonstrating team work to achieve common goals * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Qualifications * Knowledge of Epic * Prioritization and multitasking skills * Knowledge of insurance remits * Healthcare Insurance knowledge * 1-3 years' experience cash posting knowledge * Basic accounting skills * Provide homework environment with internet * Detailed oriented
