Job Description:

-- Assist with RFP process -- Negotiating the lowest price -- Prepare purchasing orders or bid requests -- Acquiring materials and parts needed for particular job -- Purchase raw materials as required by the Production Manager -- Outsourcing as needed -- Manage returned inventory -- Create job travelers for new purchase orders -- Help resolve issues and questions regarding purchase orders -- Updating internal customers with purchase orders and shipments o Ensure internal reports are providing the various teams in Priority Sign the tools to effectively manage inventory, production and shipping dates, along with cost associated for accounting or project management to use for tracking the financial status from program wide all the way to site-by-site -- Overseeing the selected manufacturing vendors and ensuring expectations are being met according to the program specifications and delivery dates o Chose manufacturing vendors for program based on price, skill set as well as previous experience and current work load o Be single point of contact for all blanket order releases o Provide the tools necessary to ensure project manager looks good at all times and make their life easier o Look for opportunities to increase profit through value engineering ideas, methods, alternate product, grouping shipment, etc. o Review and approve the cost invoices from manufacturing vendors -- Establishing relationship with domestic and International vendors and suppliers -- Stay educated in the signage market o Making sure you have the knowledge base of what the sign industry requires: ie: product, installation, municipality codes, and landlord approval o Developing skills to converse with vendors- manufacturing, installation, product specs o Understanding of PSI proceduresJob Requirements:

  • Placing purchasing orders with vendors
  • Maintain purchase orders within the purchasing systems
  • Generating purchase orders and transmitting purchase orders to suppliers
  • Maintain purchase order and purchasing process documentation
  • Providing purchase orders to suppliers
  • Produce inventory and purchasing reports
  • Authorize all production material purchasing contracts
  • Manage purchasing team as well as normal purchasing responsibilities
  • Support procurement and purchasing processes
  • Add new vendor purchase orders
  • Ordering and purchasing new supplies
  • Communicate purchasing schedules and vendor
  • Create purchase orders from requisitions
  • Select suppliers and issues purchase orders
  • Perform all other purchasing duties
  • Perform other purchasing or inventory control duties
  • Provide purchasing guidance and oversight, leading purchasing team
  • Enable effective purchasing process management
  • Match purchase orders to invoices from vendors
  • Ensure purchase orders and contracts
