The Opportunity
We are looking for a Sr. Developer - Information Management SAP
BW/HANA Reporting and Analytics at our St Paul, MN location in the
Commercial Delivery Solutions division (CDS).
As a Developer you'll have the chance to develop analytic solutions
for On-premises and cloud applications. The candidate will have
responsibilities including project assessment, estimation and
implementation within the Information Management analytics
portfolio of SAP Business Warehouse and HANA, providing guidance on
support tickets and building overall analytic solutions to support
business stakeholder goals and objectives.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
This Developer will play a critical role in participating in the
estimation, analysis, design, development and support of SAP BW and
SAP HANA initiatives as well as converse and assist in Azure
platform architecture. A key element of this position will require
the candidate to establish strong relationships with the Business
Relationship Managers and Business SMEs within the functional
domain area and team members.
MAIN REPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Responsible to lead and participate in the estimation, design and
development of SAP data warehousing components, that will be used
by downstream Business Intelligence and visualization tools.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and implementation partners
to develop these Information management solutions in the SAP
space.
Design and implement architecture reporting models in SAP BW and
HANA and be an ambassador for partnership with delivery and
external vendors.
Provide expertise in existing data architecture models and assist
in complex support items that may arise with existing models.
Advise, support and direct modifications on existing development
standards.
Actively participate in Design Review sessions providing expertise
and opinions on proper model designs.
Perform activities in various project phases including Analysis,
Requirements, Design, Build, User Acceptance Testing, Training,
Cutover, Deployment and Hyper care.
Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical
business and executive leaders.
Work closely with SMEs and functional experts in SAP Commercial,
R&D, finance, sales, etc. for building analytical models from
structured and unstructured data sources.
Demonstrate high degree of analytic agility to meet fluid and
dynamic business needs.
Provide expertise in proper Data warehousing concepts outside of
the SAP space as well.
Ensure cohesiveness between business strategies and technology
directions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE, YOU'LL BRING
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
4+ years' experience of SAP Business Warehouse and HANA
implementations in a highly technical and analytical
environment.
Experience working on a team in large-scale analytics data platform
projects utilizing SAP Business Warehouse and HANA.
Experience with Data models.
Preferred
Experience with HANA Studio, Business Explorer, and Visio.
Experience in ABAP coding.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability
to influence within and across organizations, functions and
business areas.
Demonstrate a technical acumen that enables effective communication
both with technical and business teams.
Strong analytical, problem solving, presentation, and
organizational skills.
Ability to meet multiple deadlines and work independently but
engage others as needed to accomplish milestones and
deliverables.
Ability to work in a matrixed and geographically diverse business
environment.
Have a solid understanding of Software Life Cycle (SLC)
methodologies and deliverables including the Business Impact
Assessment, Disaster Recovery Plan and Change Request.
