injured workers.The roleAs Senior Loss Prevention Representative in
Minnesota, you will serve as the subject matter expert regarding
Loss Control Safety & Health services for workers compensation
policyholders. You will seek out ways to improve employee safety as
well as controlling and reducing losses. Our Loss Prevention Reps
work within a multi-functioning team serving medium to large-sized
premium policyholders. You will also partner with insurance agents
and producers to assist with questions regarding account
management. You will act as a resource to policyholders as they
develop loss control and safety programs to minimize frequency or
severity of potential losses and work closely with claims
representatives and underwriters to help arrive at solutions to
help reduce the risk of work related injuries'. This job calls for
excellent customer service skills, the desire to help others and
the use of critical thinking skills to come up with solutions to
problems. This position is fully remote, offers a company car and
applicants must live in MN.What you will be doingPerforms onsite
loss prevention surveys for prospects and existing policyholder
accounts. If applicable, establishes service plans for accounts
through assessment of management controls, physical operations, and
loss history. Develops specific strategies to minimize loss
potentials and recommends positive changes and improvements to
policyholder's management. Prepares report for policyholders
outlining present and most likely future loss potentials and other
noteworthy items on a timely basis.Evaluates and monitors
occupational disease exposures and control mechanisms using basic
testing equipment such as sound dosimeters, force meters, etc., to
determine needed action for loss prevention. Recommends preliminary
sampling techniques and assesses risk levels of hazardous
substances and physical agents. Reviews results with team leader
and/or other team members, as appropriate. Generates a written
report with recommendations for abatement where feasible and within
the realm of the loss prevention representative's level of
expertise.Provides ergonomic education, training, development and
evaluations for policyholders in order to prevent repetitive
trauma-type injuries.Consults, advises, and persuades more complex
policyholder operations on ways and means to eliminate or minimize
their exposure to risk. Recommends modification of current program
based on his/her evaluation. Obtains an agreement from the
policyholder on an implementation plan to reduce areas of loss and
bringing the strategy to satisfactory completion.Interprets and
applies common safety and health standards to the work place and is
familiar with American National Standards Institute (ANSI)
standards and OSHA standards and regulations. Ensures that
recommendations incorporate the minimum requirements of current
safety and health standards. Educates the policyholder on
standards, as needed.Provides training assistance, hazard
recognition audits, program reviews, industrial hygiene assistance,
and needed resources on common loss prevention topics to
policyholders. Responds to policyholder inquiries and communicates
pertinent information to affected teams.Assists with in-house
training and mentoring team members.Business OperationsRegularly
interacts with team members, policyholders and agents to achieve
individual and team goals. Follows company best practiceAssists
with training and mentoring of other team members, if
needed.Professionally works with all team members providing
excellent customer service. This includes, but is not limited to,
covering for other team members when they are absent, being
respectful of others, and the ability to successfully resolve
conflict. Constructively works with team members and others in the
company when service and business improvement opportunities are
identified.Provides first-class customer service to all customers
and complies with customer service standards. Responds promptly to
resolve complaints or problems. Adheres to partnership agreements
represented by the various business services areas. Maintains
appropriate interactions with persons inside and outside of the
organization.Processes survey reports, post-service letters and
other applicable documentation using internal systems, to include
forwarding post-service letters to the policyholder contact, agent
and applicable internal team members timely.What We'll Love About
You Bachelor's degree in safety, risk management or science
preferred; in lieu of a Bachelor'sdegree, 4 years of safety field
experience will be accepted.Master's degree in safety, risk
management or science preferred.Three or more year's insurance loss
control or safety consulting experience, or working in a
safety-related field (manufacturing or construction setting
preferred).ASP, CSP, GSP, or CRM designation preferred.Knowledge of
applicable state and federal regulations related to workers'
compensation insurance, safety and OSHA.Ability to operate sound
dosimeters and force meters.Strong verbal and written skills.Strong
customer service skills and presentationStrong computer skills
(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Excellent organizational and
time management skills to handle multiple priorities and
deadlines.Ability to follow directions and understand and adhere to
team procedures and company best practices.Demonstrates positive
teaming skills and adept at resolving conflict.Valid driver's
license and acceptable driving record.Flexibility in scheduling to
accommodate customer needs and may periodically require overnight
stays.Able to work in self-directed team environment. Physical
Requirements Regular attendance is required. Most work is performed
outside of a standard office environment, but work will take place
in a semi paperless environment, using standard office equipment
such as computers, phones, photocopies; may require being
stationary at variable periods of time or physical movement. While
performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly
required to talk or hear, and maintain concentration and focus. The
employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and
fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms and work
with close vision. This position requires the ability to
occasionally lift office products and supplies, Occasional lifting
(approximately 25 to 35 pounds). Ability to walk, climb stairs and
climb ladders, bend stoop and crouch and wear personal protective
equipment on policyholder sites as needed. Regularly exposed to
different work environments which includes, but is not limited to
dusty, noisy, cold, hot, agricultural environments and a variety of
weather conditions. Travel as needed.The physical demands described
