This position pays a minimum starting hourly wage of $22 - $28 (paid weekly and overtime applicable) based on experience. You will provide technical expertise to support project managers on Industrial Service projects for Bay West's various Federal, State, and Private sector clients.     • Assists and conducts clean-up with Household Hazardous Waste collections as needed.
    • Performs Industrial Services Projects, including tank cleanings and facility decontaminations and cleanings.
    • Assists with Emergency Response (ER) activities, including determining ER equipment needs, loading ER equipment, and performing cleanup activities (including 1 week of 24/7 on-call every 6-8 weeks).
    • Occasionally required to perform out-of-town projects lasting 2-5 days (typically once a quarter)Required Qualifications
      • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
      • Must possess or have access to a reliable mode of transportation on a 24-hour basis
      • Demonstrated record of commitment to safety of self, co-workers, and equipment
      • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
      • Must be comfortable and able to work while wearing Level A, B, and C Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which includes a full-face respirator and self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) along with Tyvek and Saranex suits.
      • Must be able to work evenings, weekends and extended out of town when necessary.
      • Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test pursuant to regulation 49 CFR part 1999 and background check.Preferred Qualifications
        • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification; will provide for otherwise qualified candidate
        • Comprehensive knowledge of DOT and RCRA hazardous waste rules and regulations.
        • Experience with lab-packs, spill response and industrial cleaning.
        • Class B CDL with Hazardous Material Endorsement or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
        • Previous experience and chemical safety knowledge of cleaning chemicals, detergents, flammable solvents, acids, and bases as well as other hazardous substances and wastes.
        • Previous experience operating equipment such as skid steer, mini-excavator, aerial lifts, pressure washers, etc. Essential Physical Requirements:
          • Requires driving (up to 8 hours in a day), standing, walking, lifting, carrying, bending, and grasping
          • Work environment can include high heat and extreme cold
          • Frequently lift 25 pounds; occasionally lift 50 pounds
          • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination per specific client requirements
          • Able to work at elevated heights, in permit required for confined spaces and various hazardous industrial environments.
