Construction Materials Specialist - Position Overview: Plans,
coordinates and directs the sales and marketing for Typar
Construction Products through key dealers, installers and builders
in primary territory. Develops and provides on a regional basis
selling aides for multiple business segments for use by Branch
sales personnel in sales presentations throughout the region.
Provides product knowledge and coordinates and presents product
related training. Regionally may orient new Branch Product
Specialists and provide product training to regional field sales
personnel. Primary responsibility is line volume, profitability and
EVA results in assigned territory. Construction Materials
Specialist Responsibilities: Makes territory sales calls on current
and potential customers for products.
Communicate and present product information to customers at all
levels of the organization.
Supports the regional inside and outside salespersons through the
design, implementation of a variety of selling aides and the
selling proposition for a number of customer types, i.e. dealers,
installers, builders, architects, who may also be at different
levels of product application experience and usage. The work
involves driving toward results by enrolling the commitment and
buy-in of internal and external customers.
Develop territory sales plan with coordination of Berry Global
2-Step Channel Manager and Branch Manager.
Establishes, monitors and controls product pricing and margins
based on sales and management input.
Attends trade shows and industry association events within

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Marketing Management or Business.
Minimum five years' experience in field sales and/or marketing.
60 - 90% Travel in sales territory required.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business
periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or
governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business
correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively
present information and respond to questions from groups of
managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts,
interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area,
circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic
algebra and geometry.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw
valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of
technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal
with several abstract and concrete variables.
