Job DescriptionSalary: The Receiving Lead is a key member of the warehouse team and is responsible for fully overseeing the receiving process. This team member will ensure our product is received accurately and timely into our facility as well as into our computer system. This position will be responsible for identifying and solving any problems with receiving, as well as be the go-to for all receiving questions. This position requires an ability to multi-task with competing priorities and work productively in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process of all incoming shipments same day – sales, spec buys and RMAs
  • Process all RMAs / RTVs within 2 weeks
  • Inspection of goods within 24 hours (1 pallet) and 72 hours (1+ pallets)
  • Perform quality checks on incoming shipments
  • Accurately enter all receiving data into the computer system
  • Organize and maintain a clean and safe receiving area
  • Create identifying tags for each broken down purchase order on the day of receipt
  • Work closely and communicate effectively with technicians, sales support, and the sales team
  • Be the go-to for all receiving questions from warehouse employees and other departments
  • Own and be accountable for the receiving team's accuracy and production by setting the standard – Be the example
  • Provide ongoing mentorship and training to the receiving team
  • Document processes to ensure smooth knowledge transfer to other team members
  • Work closely with Operations Manager to create, implement, and achieve departmental goals and process improvements
  • Participate in Warehouse employee recruitment, hiring, retention, and development
  • Train and onboard new Warehouse employees
  • Assist with annual performance review process for assigned Warehouse employees
  • Assist with other areas of the warehouse including packing, shipping and product refurbishment as needed
  • Participate in physical inventory counts
  • Move equipment using stacker lift, carts, and pallet jacks
  • Other duties and projects as assignedKey Qualifications:
    • 2 or more years' experience in a warehouse environment – performing receiving, shipping, or inventory control a plus
    • Continual growth and increased responsibility during tenure with Summit 360
    • Strong leadership and communication skills
    • Ability to effectively communicate, work closely with, and resolve issues with other departments
    • Experience with computer data entry required
    • Experience with warehouse management computer system a plus
    • Experience with handheld barcode scanners a plus
    • Familiarity with computer hardware a plus
    • Ability to work independently and with a team
    • Ability to adapt to the needs of the department and business
    • Strong organization and attention to detail
    • Must have good hand and eye coordination
    • Experience using warehouse equipment including a pallet jack
    • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
    • Ability to stand and be mobile for extended periods of time
