About the Job
Responsibilities:
General: The production of maps, site plans, and other deliverables
as required.
Maps: Two to three maps of temple locations in India including
major rivers, cities, and other monuments as outlined by
requirements set by client. Final cartographic products become full
property of client with no reservations after payment delivered in
full. HardyGIS Analytical Services reserves the right to publish
for self-promotion any cartographic products generated from the
contracted work provided that a HardyGIS Analytical Services
watermark covers 75% of the product at 25% opacity. It is suggested
but not required that any future uses of cartographic products by
client outside the scope of contracted project retain the small
HardyGIS Analytical Services watermark or contain some reference
therein to their creator.
Site Plans: Four to five site plans of temples in India with
supporting elements determined by the client. Final site plans
become full property of client with no reservations after payment
delivered in full. Same reserves as stated above apply to site
plans.
Other: Other work that arises during the course of the contracted
period as agreed upon by client and HardyGIS Analytical
Services.
All products will go through multiple revisions in consultation
with the client throughout the contract period. Work expected to
last through December 2024. Final delivery of products will follow
the timeline set by the client.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Graduate level coursework in Art History
and previous experience with mapping and the creation of
cartographic products.
Preferred Qualifications: Advanced doctoral student (ABD student)
with knowledge of Art History and cartography.
