The ideal candidate will have a focus on accounting, business management, or supply chain and want to learn more about the payables business. This is a full-time paid internship with two days per week located at our office in Oakdale, MN.Things you should know about working at US LBM:We are all about teamwork! We are a continuous improvement-driven organization, and we are focused on keeping organized and on task.How you will spend your days as an Accounts Payable Intern:Support the Accounts Payable team on various projects.Collaborate with different teams across the company.Present project results to team members periodically.Learn accounts payable processes and create documentation for best practices across the team.Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of processes and propose enhancements.Analyze payment data to identify trends and areas of opportunity across vendors, divisions, and regions to share with the leaders in Accounts Payable.Learn and review key controls for Accounts Payable.We want you to join the team if you can check these boxes:Minimum education required - recently graduated with Bachelor's Degree or currently enrolled in college or university.Excellent interpersonal and customer relations skills.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Proficiency with Office 365, specifically Excel. Ability to learn current technologies (Accounts Payable systems, SmartSheet, Tableau, and other necessary business applications).Ability to learn and understand processes with an eye for process improvement.Ability to analyze large volumes of data to identify trends and insights.Ability to deal constructively with conflict and recognize potential problems or concerns.Physical demands include standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods of time, bending or stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.Flexible and willing to help other team members as projects arise.US LBM Holdings, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
