They will build rapport and establish good relationships with students, parents, staff members and the community. The Intervention Specialist is responsible for delivering academic interventions to students as part of a school-wide MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Support). The Intervention Specialist works closely with classroom teachers to conduct universal screening, diagnostic, and progress monitoring assessments in order to effectively design and implement researched-based Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions with students of academic need. They motivate students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a solid foundation for further education. The elementary program at HCPA is currently looking to hire qualified individuals for either reading and math interventions. Please indicate your preference when applying.Requirements:Full job description will be provided upon consideration or upon request.The ideal candidate will have---A current MN teaching license, BA or MA in education related field, or equivalent experience, knowledge and understanding of the rigor, depth, and complexity of the Minnesota state content standards/Common Core standards across grade levels. They also bring strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively with students, parents, district staff and community members from diverse backgrounds, as well as excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to multi-task, and knowledge of the programs, functions, and procedures of a school setting.Hmong College Prep Academy stands out as a high quality school for both teachers and students, demonstrated in many ways:
