Department Overview
The Midwest Children's Resource Center provides medical diagnosis,
psychological assessment, and treatment for children and their
families affected by physical abuse, sexual abuse, or neglect. In
addition, they are available for telephone consultation 24/7 for
child protection, law enforcement agencies, physicians, therapists,
attorneys, and concerned parent. They offer training, internships,
and fellowhips for physicians, advanced practice nurses, and
professionals interested in expanding their knowledge and skill in
medical evaluation, interviewing children, psychological
assessment, and treating abused children.
Position Summary
Promotes positive patient and family experience as first impression
of the clinic by creating a welcoming atmosphere to all clinic
guests. The Patient Service Coordinator is responsible for the
efficient and orderly registration and check-in of patients.
Obtains accurate and complete patient demographic, financial
information and required consents.
Qualifications
License/Certification/Registration required? No
Education:
*High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
*One year of customer service experience required
*One year of medical office setting experience preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
*Exceptional customer service skills
*Communicate and interact in respectful and professional manner
*Contribute to positive clinic team work environment
*Proper spelling and grammar
*Ability to perform front desk clinic functions
*Computer knowledge and navigating
*HIPAA knowledge and ability to handle confidential information
*Demonstrate prompt and reliable attendance
*Apply logical thinking to problem solve
