Description: The Alton is seeking a professional Life Enrichment Coordinator to join their team in St. Paul, MN. As the Life Enrichment Coordinator, you will promote the mission, vision and values of Stuart Co senior living campus. The primary purpose of this position is to develop, implement, facilitate and evaluate the overall operation of the Life Enrichment Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Campus Executive Director, to assure that an on-going program of activities is designed to meet the needs interest and abilities of residents. Working HoursTypically hours are:Monday: 8:00-4:30 pmTuesday: 8:00-4:30pmWednesday: 8:00-4:30pmThursday: 8:00-4:30pmFriday: 8:00-4:30pmSaturday: 8:00-4:30pm *Alternating SaturdaysBenefits: Health, Flexible Spending Account, Dental, Vision, Life, ADD, LTD, STD, Critical Illness, Accident and 401(K). 9 Paid Holidays Generous PTO accruals Job Responsibilities and Duties:--- Work closely with the Life Enrichment Coordinator Lead to communicate, plan, and execute daily department functions.--- Assist in developing, implementing, facilitating, and evaluating the Life Enrichment programs that meet our resident and resident family needs. --- Assist in implementing and communicating department policies and procedures. Assist in communicating best practices to staff, residents and families. Coordinate activities with other departments. --- Assist in organizing and facilitating resident outings into the community as determined by their interests and abilities.--- Coordinate with the Life Enrichment Coordinator Lead to develop programs that enhance the resident's experiences and programs.--- Assist and participate in special events.--- Assist in editing and publishing monthly calendar and quarterly campus newsletters.--- Assist in staff development. --- Assist in developing annual budget for department.--- Provide information to the Life Enrichment Coordinator Lead regarding the residents' participation and abilities in order to assist with the development of a personalized care plan.--- Assist in ensuring life enrichment volunteers are successful in their role.--- Put customer service first; ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals' needs and rights.--- Other duties as assigned. Job Standards:--- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university, Prefer degrees in Therapeutic Recreation, Gerontology, or Recreation Management. --- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a health care setting. --- Desire to be involved in a high-performance, effective team that can produce consistent, demonstrated results. --- Demonstrate on an ongoing basis the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with co-workers and life enrichment department: strong interpersonal relationship skills, detail oriented, organized, multi-tasking skills, collaboration with others, a high degree of integrity and personal commitment, possession of strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and manage multiple deliverables at the same time. --- Strong skills to develop diverse and robust networks within the senior housing communities and resources. --- Ability to function in a matrix environment and demonstrate a passion to succeed, be self- motivated, dependable, committed, and maintain a willingness to see a project through to its conclusion. --- Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and other appropriate software platform is required.
