65% BIPOC communities we serve.HOUSING COUNSELORThe Housing
Counselor provides pre-purchase counseling, financial education and
coaching, homebuyer education and group education services to a
diverse group of clients and prospective homebuyers. The Housing
Counselor also serves as an agency representative to a diverse
group of community partners and other key stakeholders and work in
partnership with the Director of Community Services and other staff
to plan, develop, and carry out a broad range of services.The
Housing Counselor position is part of our Economic Services
Department, which is made up of individuals with many years of
experience supporting families, individuals, and small businesses
to achieve their homeownership and financial goals. Our team is
expanding, with a number of new growth opportunities available to
better serve our communities. Our work environment is fast-paced
and is ever evolving with new regulations and technology.As a
Housing Counselor you will serve individuals and families with the
greatest barriers, and assist them in reaching their greatest
successes. We engage with groups from varying income levels,
racial, and ethnic backgrounds. We are looking for a Housing
Counselor who is adaptable, resourceful, and knowledgeable. In this
role, strong money management skills and a comprehensive
understanding of the home purchase and financing process is
important. Additionally, project management and group facilitation
skills coupled with exceptional interpersonal skills,
professionalism, and the ability to build trusting and
collaborative relationships will be vital for success. The Housing
Counselor will report directly to the Director of Community
Services or his/her designee.Essential duties and
