Job DetailsPosition Type Seasonal-- Working at Girl Scout Summer Camp Girl scout camp is where many campers find their strengths and challenge themselves as they navigate activities on the water, at the campsite, and along the trail. Girl Scouts River Valleys' camp sessions allow campers to develop a strong sense of self and positive values, build healthy relationships, seek challenges, and have fun while making memories of a lifetime!

As a Wilderness Trip Staff Member, you will either directly lead or prepare staff to lead overnight camping trips. You will be working with a variety of camping skill levels from beginners to advanced campers. Trips typically focus on activities around backpacking, canoeing, and kayaking.

    Additional Information Required with Application:

    General Qualifications
    
    
    • All staff members must be vaccinated against COVID-19.
      
    • All staff members must be at least 18 years of age or have graduated from high school by the start of the camp season, and live on-site.
      
    • Staff will have one day off each week with additional time off as the schedule permits.
      
    • Extensive skills in outdoor cooking, camping, orienteering and Leave No Trace principals
      
    • Previous experience in leading trips or extensive trip participation experience and have skills in canoeing, kayaking, and backpacking.
      
    • Lifeguard and wilderness first aid certifications required.
