Job Description:
Description On-call opportunity Monday through Friday, business
hours. Provide coverage for Patient Access staff at all of Gillette
metro locations. This position exists to provide access
(registration and scheduling) for patients, families and providers
to Gillette's complex services. Promotes and maintains excellent
and positive patient and family experience as the first impression
of the organization. Patient Access float positions travel
throughout the metro sites to provide coverage for essential PAS
and therapy support positions. Specific duties are determined by
the work setting or patient population served; however, in all
positions, serving patients with challenging and complex conditions
requires a concentration of specialized staff able to work in
highly coordinated teams. We organize care around each patient's
condition which requires staff at multiple levels and across many
departments to exhibit exceptional teamwork qualities including
communicating efficiently and effectively and adopting the
behaviors required for high functioning integrated teams,
consistent with our Gillette CARES expectations. The hourly wage
for this opportunity is $20.37/hour to $30.54/hour, with a median
wage of $25.45/hour. Pay is dependent on several factors including
relevant work experience, education, certification & licensure, and
internal equity. Hourly pay is just one part of the compensation

thinking and ability to manage shifting priorities in a dynamic
environment to ensure timely and effective response to patient and
organization needs. + Completion of a wide variety of
administrative tasks, work direction from multiple
staff/supervisors, frequently and rapidly changing needs. + Uses
judgment in resolving problems while effectively communicating with
internal and external customers. + Ability to remain professional,
organized, and provides excellent customer service under pressure.
+ Ability to work varied hours, at varied locations, covering
multiple positions. Required Qualifications: + High School Diploma/
GED + 1 -3 years' experience in customer service, administrative or
healthcare setting + Strong computer aptitude including knowledge
of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) + Demonstrated strength
in customer service, organization, attention to detail and the
ability to work independently + Demonstrated strong teamwork skills
+ Demonstrated ability to multi-task and respond
quickly/reprioritize changing needs + American Heart Association
BLS for HealthCare workers or obtained within 90 days of hire +
Ability to cover at 2+ locations and available to work a minimum of
16 hours during essential business hours. + Site locations:
Burnsville Clinic, 435 Phalen, Saint Paul main campus, Minnetonka,
Maple Grove. Preferred: + Ability to cover at all metro clinic
locations and available to work 24 hours (3 full days) during
essential business hours. + Advanced education (Associate or
Bachelor's) + Knowledge & understanding of medical terminology +
Knowledge & understanding of commercial insurance carriers and
standard insurance forms Gillette requires all staff to be fully
vaccinated for COVID-19 unless there is a Gillette-approved medical
or religious exemption. New hires will be required to have at least
one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine prior to starting employment and
submit proof of 1st dose of COVID-19 vaccine prior to 1st day.
Gillette also requires all employees to receive the influenza
vaccine or wear an approved face mask during influenza season. The
flu vaccine can be done at the time of the health clearance
