InfoSec Consultant

Minneapolis - St Paul, MN based organization (local resource preferred, but this is REMOTE
)

6+ month contract to start (open to conversion or extension)

Our long time, direct and close client is looking to add a consultant with expertise in Information Security functions. This is a " roll up the sleeve" producer. This team consists of 2 Associate / Mid-level Security Analysts and a technical Manager. We are looking for someone who would fit in the middle there - someone that has the tenure to speak upstream to leadership, build quick credible relationships with business stakeholders and assist not only in Vulnerability Assessments but Design Reviews.

• This team makes the recommendation, review security settings, and work with teams on fixes, whether it's firewall rules, proxy filtering, application security, patch management etc.
• Information Security Consultant will create, rollout, train other teams on threat vulnerability management, remediation plans, exposed to latest patch gaps/plans/resolutions, etc. and relay to appropriate teams.
• There are a lot of initiatives going on
  • O365, SSL, Azure Cloud migration, SecOps, etc. so a well-rounded InfoSec Consultant would be ideal!
  • Security Architecture - Firewall rules, governance of firewalls, review settings, develop repeatable procedures to review and manage.
  • Security Assessment remediation help, multiple assessments and/or pen tests have occurred in the past few years, need to go through them and ensure that the right people know what and how to fix.
  • Mentor team, need assistance in developing documentation, scalable process, work with our SOC as well and ensure we have rock sold SOP's, etc.
