Applicants are invited for a postdoctoral researcher position in the Laboratory of Structural Biology of Disease at the Department of Pharmacology, Medical School, University of Minnesota. The laboratory is headed by Dr. Fang Li (PI).

  • This will be an annually renewable, 100% time postdoctoral researcher appointment. Annual renewal hinges on performance and available funding.
    Duties/Responsibilties:(1) Conduct molecular virology research in the field of receptor recognition and cell entry of SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19 virus);(2) Participate in design of projects, planning and executing experiments; (3) Collect and organize data for research activities; (4) Attend, participate, or present at laboratory meetings, seminars, graduate and undergraduate lectures, and conferences as needed;(5) Maintain frequent communication with collaborators, including, if required, traveling to destinations to meet with collaborators and collect data.

    Qualifications





    Required Qualifications:
    • Candidates must have completed PhD training by start date and should have a record of success in scientific research (as evidenced in first-author publications in scientific journals)
    • Applicants are expected to have excellent molecular biology and protein biochemistry skills as well as strong written and verbal communication skills.
