Cochran Recovery Services is currently looking for a
compassionate individual to work at our Hastings, MN Location in a
part time capacity as a Counselor.Hiring incentives for this role
are provided up to $5,000 depending on applicant
qualifications.Part time Counselors annual salary range is $33.00 -

and much more!LADC Position OverviewThe Counselor plays an
important role in the delivery of treatment services to the clients
and is responsible for ensuring that all clients receive services
as mandated by the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS).
The Counselor provides services to support achievement of effective
personal development working with clients individually and in group
settings to identify and resolve issues including substance use,
mental health, personal and/or emotional and family issues.
Counselors must be able to maintain client confidentiality in
accordance with state and federal guidelines and HIPAA
requirements.Responsibilities of LADCUnder direction of the Program
Director and Program Manager(s), deliver services meeting licensure
requirements and individual client needs as a member of the
multi-disciplinary team in residential or outpatient
settingsProvide individual case management/file documentation for
assigned caseload, noting all treatment related activities and
services in an accurate, professional, and timely manner including
assessment of substance use and mental health problems, creating
and monitoring individualized treatment plans, providing group
therapy and individual counseling services to individuals with
co-occurring substance abuse and mental health issuesFacilitate
psycho-educational and therapeutic process groups regarding the
disease of addiction and the recovery process consistent with
maintaining mental healthReceive weekly supervision with Mental
Health Provider (as applicable)Provide culturally sensitive and
relevant services to diverse clients and their familiesResponsible
for complying with federal and state confidentiality statutes
following the approved lines of authority set by the Program
Director, upholding ethical standards established and implied by
the profession, and DHS rules, and maintenance of all required
licenses including but not limited to:Providing the appropriate
current license(s) for their employee fileProviding documentation
for 8 credit hours of annual mental health trainingFamiliarity with
MN Rule 245G and the NUWAY House Policies and Procedures Manual as
they relate to client services, client records and personnelWorking
closely with the Admissions Department, manage and communicate
details around client fundingPerform data entry/updates for
assigned clients into Minnesota Department of Human Services on
DAANESAttend in-service training sessions sufficient to meet
professional requirementsKeep abreast of rules and changes in
substance use disorder (SUD) treatment fieldBe available to
represent the organization outside the facility at community
outreach events as neededMay provide supervision and mentoring for
student internsAttend to after-hours consultation with staff or
clients as neededConduct oneself in a manner that presents a
positive reflection on professionalism as an asset to the image of
the organizationOther duties as assigned or requiredQualifications,
Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required for LADC:Current LADC
LicenseAge 18 or olderDemonstrated working knowledge in the field
of substance use disorder and/or mental health, in an addiction
treatment facilityPrevious counseling or counseling internship
requiredHigh degree of computer literacy including experience using
an electronic health records (EHR) systemExcellent written,
communication, customer service, and case management skillsAble to
pass Minnesota DHS background studyMust be free of problematic
substance use for at least two years immediately preceding
employment and must sign a statement attesting to that factPossess
maturity, patience, understanding and empathy with recovering
individuals and work with a multidisciplinary teamAbility to relate
to people from diverse backgroundsPhysical Demands: Sitting for
extended periods of time. Daily use of general office and/or
residential facility equipment. Lifting (max 10 pounds), minimal
reaching, bending and stooping. Ability to effectively navigate
program and office environment such as ascending and descending
steps, passing through doorways and entrances, and accessing
program/office facilities.Preferred:ADDITIONAL LICENSES: LP, LICSW,
LMFT, LPCCBachelor or Master degree in related fieldSkilled
consultant and facilitatorStrong analytical and problem-solving
skillsStrong facilitation, negotiation, investigation and mediation
