As a Payroll Specialist you will perform all payroll functions,
provide guidance on complex issues for employees and supervisors,
and help ensure compliance with current payroll regulations. You
will process the transmittal of a semi-monthly payroll. You will
process payroll adjustments and special items related to taxes,
benefit payments and fringe benefits. You will provide guidance to
supervisors on the payroll Kronos timekeeping system. You will
document internal controls and maintain a procedure
manual/documentation for all payroll procedures. You will review
and solve complex issues as they occur, assist in the
reconciliation of payroll general ledger and benefit accounts with
vendor invoices and collaborate with others to ensure that payroll
systems are current and that payroll and billing are accurate. You
will submit tax and payroll-related invoices for payment. You will
review and analyze current payroll, benefit and tax procedures to
recommend and implement changes and audit payroll balance sheets,
YTD earning and deductions.
