Job DescriptionJob Summary: Under the direction of the Energy
Program Manager, this position is responsible for the coordination
and implementation of the Energy Related Repair Program (ERR);
Performing application/intake duties, responding to ERR calls after
hours, procuring mechanical contractor proposals, maintaining
program databases, and monitoring funding.Duties and
Responsibilities (Not all inclusive):
- Participant and Crisis Management
- Perform application/intake process. Duties include but are not
limited to: processing, maintaining, and determining participant
eligibility, performing intake screening for emergencies and
hazardous conditions, and interviewing and assisting the customer
with the application process as needed.
- Respond to client heating emergency calls after hours (evenings
and weekends) to dispatch our contractors.
- Ensure appropriate resources are utilized to resolve crisis
including advocacy, release of information, and coordination of
funding.
- Ensure timelines are met for service compliance with federal
guidelines including immediate action to restore households in no
heat/life threatening situations.
- Maintain program (participants & events) information in
Laserfiche and eHeat client information databases.
- Review invoices for accuracy of work performed and itemized
list of costs for labor, major parts, and new equipment.
- Program Management, Community Relations, and Evaluation:
- Systematic processing of applications through department
electronic workflow. Ensure date stamping, logging, data entry,
vendor accounts and signature requirements are followed.
- Accurate data entry--including inputting household and
application data (text based and numerical) from documents within
time limits.
- Review applications for deficiencies or errors in the
information submitted by the household. Work with the household
when changes are necessary, make corrections and document
changes.
- Other duties as assigned.RequirementsQualifications: Education
& Experience: AA degree. Preferably: some coursework in residential
building science, HVAC, or related field and/or 2 years of
experience in residential energy efficiency or weatherization, and
customer service, or an equivalent combination of education and
experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential
functions of the job. Experience in generating reports and
analyzing data preferred.Abilities and Skills: In order to be
successful in this position, the person will at minimum need to
possess the following abilities and skills:
- Must possess good speaking skills and ability to communicate
clearly and compassionately with clients through email,phone and in
person.
- Must have strong data entry skills.Must have strong written
communication skills.
- Must be able to fulfill departmental goals and objectives using
initiative, self-motivation, organizational skills, and
soundjudgment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and
Word.
- Ability to relate to and communicate effectively with a variety
of multi-ethnic and socio-economic groups and/orindividuals.
- Must be able to work as a team member in a multi-focused
environment.
- Must be able to handle difficult customers and respond to their
complaints or situations.Core Technology Competency: Level 2 -
Intermediate 1Work Knowledge: Knowledge of diverse public funding
sources and community resources, applicable funding source
guidelines and regulations especially with regard to LIHEAP
regulations preferred. Knowledge of computer hardware and software
required. Basic understanding of residential heating systems
required.Drivers License: Due to potential on-site visits,
applicant must possess a valid drivers license and reliable
transportation on a daily basis.Mental Requirements: This position
requires an awareness of deadlines, the ability to handle and
prioritize multiple tasks, and the ability to function
independently. To be successful in this position, this person must
be able to demonstrate analytical, planning and organizational
ability and sound judgment.Environmental Requirements: Normal
office environment. Occasional off-site travel, home visits and
