Then Colon & Rectal Surgery Associates has opportunities for you!Colon & Rectal Surgery Associates is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.The Nursing Assistant is responsible for providing patient care to patients by assisting with diagnostic tests, procedures and treatments ordered by the physician.This is a full time position working Monday - Friday 8:30a to 5p out of the St. Paul Clinic location.A $2000 sign-on bonus will be offered. The bonus will be paid in three installments; the first installment of $500 will be payable on first paycheck, the second installment of $500 will be payable after 6 months and the final installment of $1,000 payable after 1 year of employment. Internal applicants are not eligible for sign-on bonus.Position Purpose Summary:The Clinical Assistant is responsible for providing patient care to patients by assisting with diagnostic tests, procedures and treatments ordered by the physician. Colon and Rectal Surgery Associates (CRSAL) is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health).Essential Functions:Escorts the patient to the exam room, obtain vitals and document patient history.Performs diagnostic testing under doctor supervision as ordered by the doctor.Prepares room as needed for specified visit type.Assist providers with pre/post op appointments and proceduresProcesses referrals and schedules clinic appointments.Retrieves calls regarding patient health problems, scheduling needs and documents and routes calls.Calls in new prescriptions and refills to the pharmacy after provider has reviewed and approved.Any and all other duties as assigned Education and Experience Requirements:High School diploma/GED or equivalentDiploma or equivalent as a Medical Assistant, Military Medic, Certified Nursing Assistant, or Direct Support Professional Certifications preferred but not required1 -2 years of recent medical clinic experience preferredSuperior communication skills, detail oriented, and excellent direct patient careEssential Requirements:Ability to:Comply with company policies, procedures, practices and business ethics guidelines.Complete job required training.Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, (e.g. HIPAA, Stark, OSHA, employment laws, etc.)Demonstrate prompt and reliable attendanceWork in the clinic during business hoursTravel independently throughout the clinic (which may include movement from floor to floor); frequent bending, lifting, standing, stooping or sitting for long periods of time may be requiredWork at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately and meet deadlinesCommunicate and interact in a respectful and professional mannerPrioritize workload while being flexible to meet the expectations of the daily operationsApply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsUnderstand and execute a variety of instructionsEffectively operate equipment and communicate on and operate the phone systemWork independently with minimal supervisionTravel to other work locations, if requiredPerformance Expectations - i-Health's Core Values:Integrity - Do the right thing and take responsibility for what you do and sayService - Consistently contribute to deliver an exceptional experienceQuality - Act with high purpose, committed effort, and skillful execution to exceed expectationsInnovation - Identify progressive solutions that improve service, teamwork, efficiency, and/or effectivenessTeamwork - Be a part of the whole; support each other positively Environmental Conditions:Clinic settingNotesInfinite Health Collaborative (i-Health) is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer and will make reasonable accommodations in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.This position description will be reviewed periodically as duties and responsibilities change with business necessity.
