Our valued client, Yaeger & Barristers, PLC, is hiring a Senior Paralegal to join their dynamic team in St. Paul, MN. The Senior Paralegal will gather and analyze research data, such as statutes, decisions and legal articles, codes, and documents. This team member will also prepare affidavits or other documents, maintain document file and file pleadings with court clerk, prepare legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, appeals, wills, contracts, and real estate closing statements, and assist lawyers by researching legal precedent, investigating facts, or preparing legal documents. Will also call upon witnesses to testify at hearing.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Meets with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects.
Drafts legal documents including routine pleadings and motions, briefs, affidavits, and interrogatories; files motions and pleadings according to judicial procedures.
Review and respond to all incoming pleadings, discovery; alert/remind attorneys of all deadlines and discuss and develop plans for responding to discovery and serving Personal Injury on Def.
Prepare all court pretrial and trial orders, including witness designations, exhibit marking and designations, work with attorneys on objections, trial motions in liming, scheduling and briefing deadlines and submissions.
Keep track of all case deadlines including statutes of limitations and all court/discovery deadlines with attorneys.
Proofread, format, edit, correspondence, pleadings, electronic filings with Courts & opposing counsel.
Researches and analyzes statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources; provides written analysis to attorneys.
Interviews clients and witnesses and prepares summaries of their statements.
Prepares, organizes, stores, and retrieves case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, exhibits, and other items.
Assists attorneys with trial preparation, which may include attending trials and hearings.
Develops and maintains records regarding billable hours spent on specific cases.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Experience e-filing for Federal and State court litigations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Understanding of legal language and principles, research methods, court pleadings and processes, and other related matters.
Understanding and experience with computer bate stamping and filing, file/case organization, search and retrieval, and data entry maintenance/monitoring of all deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:
Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or related field required; Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred.
Paralegal certificate required.
10 years of experience as a litigation paralegal in civil litigation of personal injury cases.

Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
