Job Description:
OVERVIEW:Candidate will be part of a team that provides
Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) support to laboratory
R&D operations.RESPONSIBILITIES:Monthly safety surveys (enter
safety surveys into database, track survey data, and make sure
findings are closed out in a timely manner)Initiate, follow up, and
complete incident documentation of all incidents/injuries within a
timely manner; complete WIMS investigations, identify root
cause(s), and document measures taken to prevent reoccurrence;
provide updates to management regarding causal analysis and
corrective actionsHazard Review documentation (including pre- and
post- work) and identify processes within a division/area that will
need a Hazard ReviewParticipate in monthly Tech Forum Lab Safety
meetings; communicate EHS updates to committees as neededProvide
respirator fit testsIH Sampling - air, noise, UV monitoring and
reportingElectrically Qualified Personnel AuditsMachine guarding
assessmentsLab commissioning support (to include lab EHS readiness,
equipment start up, pre-start up safety reviews, technical support
for lab moves, and lab exiting for vacated
areas)QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and
Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Biology, Chemistry, or related
fieldAir, Noise, UV sampling preferredAbility to identify
improvement opportunities, develop plans to close gaps, garner
management support for key initiatives, and track improvement
initiatives to closureRisk analysis skills - capable of hazard and
risk identification, assessment, and controls; communicate risks
and methods to reduce riskAbility to adapt to changing
circumstances and prioritize work effectivelyResponsibilities of
this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or
logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to
the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.U.S.
