**Position:** Adult Protective Services (APS) Investigator -
Remote

**Responsibilities**
**Overall Responsibilities:**
PCG is seeking a critical thinking and problem-solving skilled
candidate for the Adult Protective Service (APS) Investigator
positionto assist the State of Washington Department of Social and
HealthServices APS team. An APS Investigator will independently
investigate reports of abandonment, abuse, exploitation, neglect,
and self-neglect of vulnerable adults. Your success will be
measured by your ability to gather evidence, conduct timely and
through investigations, and assist people with services that
maintain their safety and dignity. APS Investigator is a full-time
remote-based position (40 hours/week) working closely with the
State of Washington based Social and Health Services team.
**Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Conduct virtual interviews with alleged victims, alleged
perpetrators, and other collateral contacts
+ Collect and evaluate information to make decisions related to the
investigation, services, and outcomes
+ Document all pertinent activity for each investigation and
recording electronically using computer software application
systems
+ Collaborate with law enforcement, judicial entities, families,
facilities, local office staff, other regional offices, and
community agencies/ partners regarding client needs
+ Identify and refer at-risk and vulnerable adults to appropriate
service groups
+ Provide client advocacy, consultation, networking, family
support, and crisis intervention
+ Prepare and provide testimony at administrative hearings, court
proceedings, criminal, civil and administrative proceedings
+ Represent PCG and the client in a professional manner.
+ Attend all trainings and collaborate with the State of Washington
Social & Health Services staff including other APS
Investigators
+ Review and respond to quality assurance evaluations.
+ Attend individual and team meetings to include supervision
sessions
**Qualifications**
**Required Skills:**
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and/or other online data
entry
+ Ability to assess and develop workable solutions on a variety of
critical issues or problems, thinking critically, and incorporating
multiple factors into larger concepts
+ Good time management skills to stay focused with attention to
detail
+ Strong documentation skills, verbal and written communication
skills
+ Knowledge of Medicaid terminology, regulations, and policies
+ Adaptability to ever-changing policies and directions
+ Ability to work autonomously making decisions, sometimes in
immediate safety situations
+ Flexible, self-starter possessing intellectual curiosity.
+ Experience assessing risk and safety to vulnerable adults or
children is a plus
+ Candidate can reside in any state except WA
**Qualifications:**
Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in social services, human
services, behavioral sciences, criminal law/ justice, or an allied
field
Experience: Consider equivalent experience in social services,
human services, criminal law/ justice, or an allied field as
substitution for education
