Production Generalist/Insert OperatorOutput Solutions at Fiserv delivers business-critical communications to financial institutions, health and property/casualty insurance providers, billers, retailers, travel and entertainment companies and advertising agencies nationwide. With solutions including transactional document production and delivery, card manufacturing and personalization and direct marketing services, we help our clients streamline operations to contain costs, while building customer loyalty and generating incremental revenue.Position: Inserter OperatorDuties:Perform duties using automated equipment which inserts a card carrier, various marketing materials, seals envelope, applies postage and confirms order counts.PRINCIPAL SKILLS/ACCOUNTABILITIES:1. Working from order ticket, gather all materials (must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis), set up an inserting station for each item.2. Monitor envelopes for indicia quality and seal, confirm count, and separate 1 oz from 2-oz mail.3. Pull any special handling requests.4. Respond to equipment error messages, and make necessary adjustments.5. Order required supplies (i.e. trays, sleeves, APC's, etc.).6. Overtime may be necessary during peak periods.7. Follow security procedures at all times.8. Mechanical experience preferred.Physical requirements: Work requires incumbent to be mobile and in a standing/walking position with ability to lift 20 to 50 lbs. Regularly Uses hands to handle.Also uses hands and arms to reach and grab objects.Sometimes it is necessary to stretch, crouch or kneel. All applicants considered for this position must show a history of mechanical ability or be willing to take a mechanical aptitude test if asked.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:Education & Experience: Generally High School Diploma or equivalent, Good mechanical aptitude comfortable operating a computer workstation. Strong knowledge of production operation Time classified in the specific job classifications does not automatically qualify an individual.In addition to the time guidelines, an individual must meet all other job requirements and a company approved job opening must exist.The incumbent needs experience in a fast pace, high volume production environment and understanding of production concepts.Functional Area Skills/Knowledge: Requires the ability to stay under control while working with continually changing multi tasks in a deadline work environment.Must have good production knowledge to perform efficiently and provide quality services and timely delivery.In order to protect our Fiserv community, Fiserv requires all newly hired employees in the United States to be fully vaccinated before their start date.
