SMTLIDevOps Team LeadWe are currently seeking a highly motivated cloud DevOps team lead, who combines people management experience and solid cloud technical credentials for the position of DevOps team lead, within our Shared Capabilities group. - In this role, you will collaborate with technology peers and business partners to build, deploy and operate and support the foundation of modern cloud native Service Mesh Platform for Thomson Reuters. -If you have a passion for DevOps culture and Site reliability engineering, then we want you on our team! This role reports into our Shared Capabilities organization, Service reliability operations group.About the RoleYou will be part of a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and high performing team at the heart of the Thomson Reuters transformation, Developing, Delivering, Operating and Supporting cloud native Service Mesh platforms, on AWS and Azure. You will:Provide Leadership and lead a team of SREs and Ops engineersProvide technical leadership in designing, implementation, deploying and maintaining our shared platforms on cloud infrastructureOversee the ongoing operational & Product reliability activities, as well as the ongoing operation and support of the shared platforms. -(e.g. monitoring, service indicators, backup / restores, application availability, scheduled / non-scheduled maintenance, release management, change management, and configuration management)Act as SME for non-functional requirements, product reliability and security controls, feeding requirements to the backlog and drive standardization.Lead troubleshooting efforts in large scale/k8s based architected systems and provide on-site technical escalation assistance.Drive efficiency and accuracy through automation, documentation and continual process improvement while working closely with the development team.Interact with stakeholders to understand scope and prioritization of product needs.Own the Incident response activities for the Shared Platforms, ensure proper coverage and provide escalation pointTake active role in the onboarding process of product teams into the platforms and providing repeatable tooling and processes to do soActively participate in recruitment activities to grow the Operations team and drive continuous improvementYou're a fit for the role of DevOps Team Lead if you:Bring proven experience in leading and mentoring DevOps/SRE engineers to successfully design & implement Automation, Observability, High availability and Secured requirements.Hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field - a mustMinimum of 4 years experience in Site Reliability engineering with hands on experience in cloud technologiesBring practical experience in building and operating a cloud native infrastructure, applications and services on GCP, Azure or AWS and have implemented Site Reliability Engineering practices.Highly skilled in Unix/Linux and knowledge (exposure to RHEL)Hands on experience is Linux/Unix Shell scripts, Python, Yaml, Terraform or develop with other programming languagesExperience or knowledge of Container technology such as Docker, Kubernetes and Istio service meshExperience or knowledge of Distributed logging: ELK, DataDog, SumoLogic, CloudWatchCommunicate and present information effectivelyCollaborate successfully across geographic boundaries, time-zones, cultural differencesTake ownership of problems, think critically, identify solutions, and drive the resolutionHave experience in change , incident and problem management processesWhat's in it For You?You will join our inclusive culture of world-class talent, where we are committed to your personal and professional growth through:COVID-19 Response: Currently working remotely and following local COVID-19 bylaws and guidelines with the majority of our offices being remote until July 2021.
