Starting wage for candidate who meets required qualifications - $22/hr

Under immediate supervision of the Organizing Manager, the Senior Community Organizing Associate - Twin Cities performs a wide variety of functions and has lead responsibility for building a network of activists and leaders for the organization in key parts of the state. The Senior Community Organizing Associate is responsible for recruiting new supporters, engaging activists, and developing volunteer leaders to encourage grassroots activism. Senior Organizing Associate develops and executes the plan to further the programmatic goals of Planned Parenthood North Central States and the Planned Parenthood Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota Action Fund. - Senior Community Organizing Associates are advocates in implementing our mission "To affirm the right to reproductive and sexual health and freedom for all by providing excellent care, trusted education, and fierce advocacy" They may perform other related duties as assigned.

This position will impact our mission with the following contributions

Assist in development and lead execution of geographically specific plans for generating potential new supporters and leaders.
Create and participate in opportunities to expand our reach, meet new potential supporters, and generate new leaders through Action Councils.
Create relationships with strategic partners, community leaders, and potential candidates for public office.
Develop and execute a plan that deepens the engagement of strong supporters and strengthens their commitment to PPNCS and PPMNSAF.
Assist in creation and development of grassroots campaign plans that support PPMNS and PPMNSAF's programmatic goals.
Engage PPNCS and PPMNSAF's base of supporters in both in-person and virtual grassroots organizing activities, including but not limited to phone banking, canvassing, protests, rallies and online advocacy.

Typical Work Hours -

40 hours/week, M-F

Required Qualifications

Associates degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum one-year combined experience in grassroots community organizing, youth development, campaign experience, and/or volunteer management
Commitment to fighting for racial justice and equity interpersonally and systemically
