Please visit Department Overview Comprehensive interdisciplinary initial evaluation, follow-up and management of congenital and acquired endocrine disorders, including: diabetes, growth problems, thyroid disorders, etc. This department also provide an education program for children and their families that includes diabetes management and nutrition counseling as well as resources, support groups, for children and their families. Position Summary Provides care to infants, children and young adults through assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. This may include, but is not limited to, health histories, physical examinations, diagnosis, treatment and management of common pediatric illness, chronic or acute conditions, behavioral problems or trauma ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing age-appropriate medications and therapeutic devices, and providing counseling and education to children, families and communities. Care may include primary care pediatrics and/or subspecialty care of the child with an acute or chronic illness or learning and behavioral disorders. Ensures that care delivered is family centered, customer focused, effective and cost efficient. 1. License: MN Physician's Assistant or APRN license required. 2. Certification: Physician's Assistant Certification required or in pursuit of recertification defined by the certifying body National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants APRN: Nationally Board Certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with either the National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Nurses (NCBPNP/N) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC 3. Education: Master's Degree required. 4. Maintain current BLS.
