As part of this strategy, Ecolab is providing an exciting opportunity to join the Commercial Digital Solutions team as a Lead Scrum Master for the Ecolab One Industrial Program. This position will include functioning as the Scrum Master for a dedicated platform team tasked with several initiatives that are being executed in parallel with the objective of delivering functionality in a modular and agile cadence to meet the business needs. This team is growing and in need of a Scrum Master to coach and facilitate. The team has been agile for several years, but due to growth, requires Scrum Master interaction.

What You Will Do:

  • Empower the team to self-organize/self-manage, including Product Owners, stakeholders and technical resources
  • Facilitate team meetings, including daily stand-ups, stakeholder meetings, sprint planning, etc.
  • Provide input to a cross-divisional, cross-platform organization on how best to utilize our structure and tools to maximize efficiency and results
  • Lead the team through sprint planning to gain consensus as to what can be achieved
  • Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers
  • Identify and removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment
  • Knowledge of patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: burn-down techniques, retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.)
  • Work with the Portfolio Leads to track timelines, budget and scope

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7 years IT experience
  • 5 years working on software development products
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification and/or experience using agile methods
  • Experience working with cross-functional business stakeholders and Product Owners
  • Must have demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks
  • No Immigration Sponsorship available for this opportunity

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years' experience as an agile Scrum Master
  • Demonstrated skill and knowledge of leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, and empowerment
  • Experience working with international colleagues and/or development partners
  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical staff
  • Experience working with "new" agile teams
  • Use of Microsoft Azure Dev Ops, Visual Studio TFS/VSTS, MS Project Online
  • Strong relationship and organizational skills
