Job Description:

Join our team in Surgical Services as a PreOp/PACU RN! In this role, you will assess, perform, document and evaluate professional independent nursing practice. This includes admitting the patient to the perioperative area, assessing the patient and preparing the patient for surgery/planned procedure, monitors the patient's condition post procedure, works collaboratively with surgeons and anesthesia team to assure safe, timely emergence for anesthesia and effectively communicates discharge instructions with patients and families for their post-operative care after discharge.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an baccalaureate or master's degree program in Nursing

Two (2) years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting

Licensed as a Registered Nurse with the State of Minnesota

BLS

ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

ICU experience

American Board of Perianesthesia Nursing Certification (ABPANC) (i.e. CAPA, CPAN)
