General Summary

The Field Support Engineer's primary responsibility is to identify and provide reliable solutions for all technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. The objective is to provide technical support and expertise to customer, coordinate the delivery of customer training, networking evaluation, and solution implementation, answer a wide range of questions regarding software, clinical, and networking applications, and produce well-written post-training/sales reports to provide customer and product feedback. In addition, this position requires working in conjunction with the sales team as the product advocate and operational expert.

This is a U.S.-based position.

Essential Job Responsibilities

* Coordinate with Vios technical team, customer technical team, operations, sales and marketing team for "on time" deployment of Vios units at customer sites. Travel to project sites to preform start-up, integration, and training services. On-call rotation for customer support, including nights and weekends. * Resolve customer issues or difficulties in a manner that is consistent with the company mission, values, and financial objectives. * Maintain professional business relationships within customer accounts. * Order acceptances and amendments ensuring all customer commitments are supported by realistic and achievable supply plans. * Maintain expert level of product knowledge and application. * Articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. * Listen, understand and convey customer requirements identifying customer's needs and sales opportunities to help future growth. * Support continuation & system engineering team in resolving bugs and field issues, which involves performing root cause analysis, design changes, implementation, testing. Documentation in accordance with the Quality Management System and quality, regulatory processes. * Participate in meetings and presentations with team members and sponsors and communicate ideas and engineering concepts to all disciplines. Provide status of ongoing projects and future projects.

Miscellaneous Job Responsibilities

* Plan, execute, and finalize customer projects in order to deliver product and services to hospital sites and maintain Excel spreadsheets to track timelines and milestones. Coordinating internal resources for the flawless execution of post sales processes. * Build and develop relationships key to the success of the project deployment. Team work and collaboration are key to the success in this area.

Required Qualifications

* Minimum BS in Biomedical Engineering * Good understanding of network communications technology - Wi-Fi, BT, Internet, Intranet, VPN, TCP/IP, Ethernet, etc. * Experience working with hospitals (large and small) * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Customer Service or Sales Support experience * Able to have proficient and effective communication with physicians/nurses and technical IT/BME hospital teams * Answer a wide range of questions concerning software and clinical applications * Willing to travel throughout the mid-west US * Comfortable in a physician and clinician/patient environment with sensitive data * Demonstrable oral and written communication skills and ability to lead a cross-functional meetings

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree preferred in Business, Engineering or a related field * Technical or computer science with 2 years of relevant hospital experience * Understanding of patient monitoring technologies/workflows * Understanding of rules and regulations that govern healthcare and hospital policies
