Job Description Summary

Provide outstanding customer service to financial advisors by contracting, licensing and appointing agents to the company so they can solicit business for the Individual Retirement division. Responsible for Quality Assurance, and recommend quality standard changes as appropriate.

The Lead Insurance Licensing Specialist may also help in training staff members on new procedures as well as first point of contact for new staff on training procedures. Will be a primary department contact for system issues and resolution, as well as system training for new and existing employees.

Job Description

Transamerica is seeking a professional with Insurance and Financial Services industry experience for the Lead Insurance Licensing Specialist. This position will work closely with the Compliance Division.


Review, audit, process the agent contract file for required forms and documents this including, but not limited to, adding the agent to the database as well as preparing specific licensing/appointment paperwork. Maintain records, handle inquiries and conduct research as needed for the agent files.
Review and notify specific Quality Indicator results for high profile clientele as requested by management.
Regularly audit the work within the teams for accuracy and adherence to procedures.
Serve as mentor and trainer for new staff, and be the point of contact for new processes.
Participate in developing workflows and procedures that will support increased efficiencies.
Serve as the department liaison with external contacts such as product development staff, marketing groups, audit, system testing and support, as well as various other internal departments. Will also serve as point of contact for a variety of external customers.
Must be able to effectively use a variety of software applications, including MS Office Suite applications, as well as division specific mainframe and software applications.


Associates degree or equivalent work experience.
BA degree recommended.
Minimum of 5 years of related professional work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Insurance and Financial Services industry experience.
Experience working in Operations.
Ability to meet deadlines consistently.
Strong organizational skills and communication skills desired.
Ability to utilize advanced working knowledge of all processing and quality functions, with an excellent understanding of licensing regulations to ensure complete accuracy, timeliness and efficiency of services.

Working Conditions

Currently working in a remote environment - Ability to successfully work from home remotely until further notice Office environment in the long-term
