PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
To assemble parts with mechanical and manual tools in a manner
which will consistently meet production standards and quality
THIS FULL-TIME POSITION INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING DUTIES:
Provides optimum cooperation and complete information to
Assembly Lead and other personnel, relative to projects within
his/her assigned group, to ensure on-time and accurate job
completion and shipment. Available to work additional hours as
needed to meet customer due dates.
Recommends new methods and procedures to improve assembly
efficiency as apparent or required.
Continually monitors work quality and productivity throughout
assigned area. Reports problems to Assembly Lead as
Reviews blueprints/specifications to ensure assembly procedures
comply with customer requirements.
Visually inspects and checks parts against blueprints to ensure
they are ready for assembly.
Uses a wide variety of mechanical/manual tools and operating
procedures to assemble large and small parts.Uses drill presses,
knives, and hand tools to assemble.
Performs deburring as requested.
Uses measuring instruments to ensure correct tolerances are
Keeps Assembly Lead informed of job-related problems and other
information related to work activity. Develops and maintains
records of processes and procedures used in the assembly of
equipment. Records to include written and photographic
Maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition. Works
safely and complies with all established safety rules and work
Performs required assembly operations including adjusting,
fitting, and aligning units/unit components to close tolerances and
strict inspection standards.
Advises Assembly Lead of equipment and supplies that should be
repaired or purchased.
Maintains certain inventories of assembly consumables.
Responsible for tools, fixtures and other items designated as
Assembly department equipment.
Test runs and makes simple inspection of completed units as

High school education or equivalent.
At least 3-4 years of related mechanical assembly experience on
various types of equipment or machinery, mechanical, electric, and
