Job Duties Include:
Provides direct personal care services for residents according
to the resident’s respective plan of care.
Bathes and dresses residents, provides personal care in
toileting, combing hair, mouth and nail care, and provide lotion
rubs as required.
Takes and records vital signs, weights and intake and output as
instructed by the charge nurse.
Feeds infirm or ill residents, and assists others with their
meals, providing between meal nourishment when required.
Assists residents in transfers and walking, in a manner
consistent with established safety procedures.
Applies incontinence products as required.
Transports residents within the nursing home, insuring that the
transport is performed safely, promptly and in a manner consistent
with established safety procedure
Maintains clean or orderly physical environment for

standards, infection control,and safety measures, which includes
using Standard Precautions, at all times.
Participate in in-service programs, mandatory training, and
attend meetings in the interest of improving skills, acquiring
knowledge, and meeting state and federal regulations.
Remain current on tuberculosis screening.
Work as a team member and adapt to changes in work assignments
to meet resident and/or staffing needs.
