this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad
range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual
salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors,
including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the
skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the
candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our
comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also
eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.Salary

Opportunity?Travelers is seeking a Software Engineer I ServiceNow
FSO and JavaScript to join our technology organization supporting
our dynamic, innovative and industry leading Business Insurance
organization. The convergence of technology, data and AI is
creating an unprecedented opportunity to evolve the way we work and
transform the Work Management & Orchestration experience across
tasks and activities that support our Sales through Submission
Customer Life Cycle. As we transform our technology landscape, we
are focused on expanding our modern technology ecosystem that is
nimble and well positioned for future business needs. The
individual will play a key role in supporting our existing work
task management systems and in implementing a new work
orchestration layer in the middle build on ServiceNow FSO product.

is the role for you.What Will You Do?Perform analysis, design,
development, configuration functions as well as define technical
requirements, integrations, test design & execution, and test
automation with high degree of expertise, quality, and
speed.Perform analysis, assessment and resolution for defects and
incidents of intermediate complexity and escalate
appropriately.Deployment automation and release management across
environments.Work independently to tackle well-scoped and loosely
scoped problems.Contribute to team requirement refinement,
estimation, retrospective, detailed solution design, perform
code/test case reviews, and ensure appropriate artifacts are
reviewed and approved.Define and design integration solutions
between ServiceNow and other strategic SaaS and non-SaaS Travelers
platforms.Responsible for E2E tasks of defining, designing,
building, testing, and implementing data visualization solutions by
consuming defined data flows.Assist with data mapping. Drive
commonality and reuse of data across Lines of Businesses.Document
and gain approval on High Level Data Integration Architecture
Solution designs.Direct and implement solutions to moderately
complex problems aligned with team goals.Act as a technology
advocate, independently seeking opportunities where technology can
be utilized to improve the business.Collaborate with technical
leads, architects, platform, and product owners to identify and
recommend technical solutions that adhere to approved architecture,
data security, and cyber security patterns.Help define ServiceNow
best practices, leverage of out of the box configuration, use of
Automated Test Framework throughout software development life cycle
and embrace the practice of pro-active platform health
monitoring.Apply knowledge of current industry trends and
techniques to formulate solutions within the context of assigned
efforts.Translate business requirements into well architected
solutions that best leverage ServiceNow.Support ServiceNow platform
upgrades.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other
engineers while fostering a team environment.Ensure availability
and provide on-call support to resolve application issues when
necessary.Seek opportunities to expand technical knowledge and
capabilities.Perform other duties as assigned.What Will Our Ideal
Candidate Have?Three years of programming/development experience
preferred.Two years of experience in Agile delivery
model.Experience configuring and implementing applications using
ServiceNow FSO modules: Commercial & Servicing Lines for Insurance,
Financial Services Data Model, Performance Analytics, Advanced Work
Assignment, Visual Workflow & AutomationExperience with ServiceNow
integrations with other SaaS and non-SaaS platforms using
Integration Hub.Experience with Stream Connect for Apache Kafka
would be a plus.Experience with ServiceNow Automated Test Framework
and Platform Health monitoring & scanning.Experience mentoring
other engineers in ServiceNow concepts.Knowledge of out of the box
configuration.Hands on experience with JavaScript, REST APIs a
plus.Some experience in designing & building distributed
applications outside of ServiceNow.Experience in application of
test design strategies and techniques, knowledge of test automation
tools.Experience working with CI/CD processes incorporating test
automation.Working knowledge of automated deployment / DevOps tools
and technologies.Working knowledge of source control management
tools such as Git.Delivery - Intermediate delivery skills including
the ability to deliver work at a steady, predictable pace to
achieve commitments, decompose work assignments into small batch
releases and contribute to tradeoff and negotiation
discussions.Domain Expertise - Demonstrated track record of domain
expertise including the ability to understand technical concepts
necessary to do the job effectively, demonstrate willingness,
cooperation, and concern for business issues and possess in-depth
knowledge of immediate systems worked on.Problem Solving - Proven
problem solving skills including debugging skills, allowing you to
determine source of issues in unfamiliar code or systems and the
ability to recognize and solve repetitive problems rather than
working around them, recognize mistakes using them as learning
opportunities and break down large problems into smaller, more
manageable ones.Communication - Strong communication skills with
the ability to clearly and concisely interact with team members,
document work in a clear, easy to follow manner, collaborate well
with team members, take in well- scoped requirements and ask the
right questions to ensure clarification, seek out and receive
constructive criticism well and listen when others are
speaking.Leadership - Intermediate leadership skills with a proven
track record of self-motivation in identifying personal growth
opportunities.What is a Must Have?Bachelors degree or its
equivalent in work experience.One year of programming/development
