Join the talented, engaged and inclusive workforce dedicated to creating a better Minnesota.This position provides technical support to students, staff, faculty and guests of Saint Paul College in the operation and use of campus technology. Principle Responsibilities:
  • Provide IT Help Desk support to the campus community.
  • Perform scheduled and cyclical computer installations and maintenance to ensure campus computers are functioning properly for users.
  • Maintain the campus computer usage tracking tool.
  • Provide backup support for VoIP and telecommunications systems to ensure systems are operational and accessible by users.
  • Provide support for Apple MacOS and iOS devices to ensure systems are operational and securely accessible by approved users.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth functioning of the department and maintain the reputation of the organization as a viable business partner.Minimum QualificationsThe following qualifications are required of all applicants seeking consideration for this position. Only applicants whose application materials clearly demonstrate fulfillment of each of these minimum qualifications will be considered for the position:
    • Two-year college degree in an IT-related field; OR two years of experience in the IT field;
    • Working experience providing end-user IT support and use of a ticketing system;
    • Working experience with supporting a variety of computer hardware, software, printers and peripheral systems;
    • Experience working with the Windows operating system and Microsoft Office;
    • Experience supporting Apple devices, including Mac computers, iPads, and associated peripherals;
    • Experience troubleshooting/diagnosing hardware and software failures, and successfully applying appropriate solutions.Preferred Qualifications
      • Four-year college degree in an IT-related field and at least two years of experience in the IT field;
      • Experience working in a higher education environment;
      • Experience supporting VoIP and telecommunications systems;
      • Experience working with LabStats, or other computer use tracking tools;
      • Working experience providing network/infrastructure support;
      • Working experience in a Microsoft SharePoint environment.Physical RequirementsRequires occasionally transporting such articles as file boxes and heavy hand tools or heavier materials with help from others and/or transporting light objects frequently.
