Join the talented, engaged and inclusive workforce dedicated to creating a better Minnesota.As an IT Quality Assurance Analyst, you will provide professional knowledge and skills in information systems software testing, quality assurance, and quality control of application software and systems. You will promote appropriate testing methodologies, may involve automated testing, and striving to identify/manage defects in the software systems.At this time, this position is eligible to work occasional teleworking depending on the needs of the business unit and with supervisor approval. Telework is a work arrangement that allows an employee to perform work on a scheduled regular, recurring basis at a remote telework location.**Minimum QualificationsThis position requires a minimum of three (3) years of experience in performing IT quality analysis functions.Experience must include:
    • Creating business relevant test cases, test plans, and data procedures.
    • Participating in formal review of business requirements and application design.
    • Coordinating test schedules and/or assisting in management of progress of all test activities against the test plan.
    • Executing or assisting in the execution of project regression testing tasks and user acceptance testing
    • Conducting regression testing; analyze and report overall test status and results.
    • Create data and reporting queries such as SQL*A Masters degree in Information Technology or a related field substitutes for three years of experience, OR related Bachelors degree substitutes for two years, OR related Associates substitutes for one year.Successful candidate must pass past-employer reference checks and a criminal history verification***It is the policy of Minnesota IT Services that all employees submit to a background investigation prior to employment.         • Intermediate level experience in manual testing and foundational experience in automated testing and the ability to execute test scripts.
        • Experience in assisting in the performance of risk analysis at the project management or release level.
        • Experience assisting with manual and/or automated scripts.
        • Ability to work on moderately complex projects.
        • Strong background in process management using industry standard software development methodologies.
        • Ability to communicate clearly in writing and orally, present complex information to users in a comprehensive style, and translate technical and system information for non-technical stakeholders.
        • Proven ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team.
        • Ability to organize, prioritize multiple deadlines, and work independently to define problems as they arise, and to recommend alternative solutions.
