Job Description:

Metafile is looking for a professional Software Developer to join our growing test/quality control team. The Developer will focus on ensuring the highest possible quality for each release of Metafiles software solutions. The Developer will work with the QC Lead, Release Manager, and other stakeholders to write test cases, create (program) unit tests, execute manual/automated tests, troubleshoot problems, and write bug reports.

The Developer will work with the QC Lead, Release Manager, and other stakeholders to write test cases, create (program) unit tests, execute manual/automated tests, troubleshoot problems, and write bug reports.

Responsibilities

Design stress tests, regression tests, security tests, and tests for new features in a multilayered software stack

Create written test cases (TFS and in MS Word)

Program unit tests (in C#)

Program UI tests

Coordinate activities with the QC Lead, release Manager, and other stakeholders

Set up and manage virtual machine environments

Research and evaluate testing tools

Assist the QC Lead and other stake holders as needed

Perform manual and automated tests for standalone applications, web applications, and mobile devices

Qualifications

Experience in QA/QC software testing or commercial software development

Computer Science degree preferred

Experience with Microsoft software development tools such as Team Foundation Services (TFS), Visual Studio, C#, Visual Basic

Experience with scripting tools such as VBA, Java Script, and PowerShell

Strong verbal and written English communication skills

Experience with virtualization environments such as VMWare vSphere, VMWare Workstation, and Microsoft Hyper-V

Strong and demonstrable troubleshooting skills

Knowledgeable with the software development lifecycle

The ideal candidate would also have a passion for testing, finding bugs and learning about multiple software architectures and platforms.
