ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : Developing, maintaining, documenting and managing advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards and other business intelligence (BI) solutions. Performing and documenting data analysis, data validation and data mapping/design. Reviewing and improving existing systems; collaborating with teams to integrate new systems. Conducting unit tests and developing database queries to analyze the effects and troubleshoot issues. Creating tools to store data within the organization. Recommending data visualization approaches, keeping the business end user in mind and always working towards the simplest solution easily digestible by a layperson. Performing other duties as assigned by the VP of Data & Interoperability. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Required Education, Skills & Experience: Required Education & Experience: Degree in mathematics, computer science, information systems, or related field. 3-5 years--- experience using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) Proficiency in use of query and reporting analysis tools. Competency in Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc.) Extensive experience in developing, maintaining and managing Tableau driven dashboards & analytics and working knowledge of Tableau administration/architecture. Required Knowledge: A solid understanding of SQL, relational databases, and normalization. Advanced principles, practices and techniques of data and system analytics. Specialized understanding of data engineering, reporting and management. Basic methods and approaches to analyze and improve business operations. Required Skills: Performing advanced data engineering duties in a variety of assigned areas. Using standard, customized, and complex data analytics tools. Developing and consulting on dashboard and report packages. Interpreting, applying, and explaining applicable laws, codes, and regulations. Contributing effectively to the accomplishment of team or work unit goals, objectives, and activities. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of individuals.
