This position will work in a collaborative team environment that delivers IT commercial solutions for Pest with a focus on API integrations. This will include integrating data from multiple sources to key systems to capture, report and merchandise information with ERP, mobile, portal and reporting technologies.The successful candidate will have both technical depth and breadth. The successful candidate will have experience designing, developing, and testing mission critical applications.Remote work opportunities will be considered.What's in it For You:The opportunity to take on some of the world's most meaningful challenges, helping customers achieve clean water, safe food, and healthy environmentsThe ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growthThe support of an organization that believes it is vital to include and engage diverse people, perspectives and ideas to achieve our bestWhat You Will Do:Analyze and help define data, workflow, environment, system, and software interfacesPrepare detailed API design documents and specificationsEstablish and document the full life cycle of API management standards and best practicesBuild out secure integration APIs to interface with a diverse set of systemsBe responsible for identifying gaps between current systems and desired end-state; creating a roadmap to deliver end-state solutions.Under minimal supervision, design, develop and/or repair logic that drives moderatelycomplex software systems/application functionality.Work closely with more senior staff on more complex and/or integrated programmingissues.Perform key portions of the system development lifecycle including designing, coding,code reviews with peers prior to submitting for QA, unit testing, documenting, installing,maintaining, and supporting proprietary and/or purchased software systems/applications.Perform unit and performance testing on code and documents findings within definedscope.Develop enhancements to satisfy end-user requirements.Complete moderately complex project tasks within defined milestones.Communicate and interact with technical partners and collaboratively define solutions to address key opportunities.Develop designs and specifications based on technical and business requirements.Be responsible for the scalability, robustness, and reliability of all solutions within the application area.Be responsible for defining and following best practices.Make decisions, define required changes, and communicate modifications to entire project team jointly and independently.Proactively consult industry best practices in software design and integration solutionsMinimum Qualifications:Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field2 years of professional experience as an API developer with deep understanding of API2 years working with C#/.NET Core, Entity Framework, and/or similar technologies2 years working with Database Management Systems such as SQL Server or similar2 years writing unit and integration tests in the .NET FrameworkNo Immigration Sponsorship available for this opportunityPreferred Qualifications:Experience in a structured and formal software development processesSound knowledge with authorization and authentication approachesExperience with end-to-end API Platform setup and implementationExperience with Azure Dev OpsKnowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud servicesExperience developing mission-critical applicationsKnowledge of Database Design/SupportStrong business and technical acumenExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to keep informed of industry trends and technologies and apply them quickly through POC's or full applicationsA trusted partner at nearly three million commercial customer locations, Ecolab (ECL) is the global leader in water, hygiene and infection prevention solutions and services.
