Twin Cities PBS (TPT) is one of the most innovative public media

award-winning content on multiple platforms and we're seeking an IT
Operations & Infrastructure Manager to focus on providing solutions
that helps TPT achieve greater success by leading the planning,
prioritizing, implementation and ongoing support of Information
Technology systems. The IT Operations & Infrastructure Manager will
drive the evolution of modern-day infrastructure that supports the
strategic goals of TPT and provide a highly reliable, flexible,
cost effective and innovative environment.-- MAJOR AREAS OF
- Maintain a deep understanding of modern information technology
server, network, security and database systems on Windows, Linux
and OSX platforms; applying new technologies appropriately to the
evolving needs of the corporation.
- Provide leadership on emerging technologies and strategies
towards cloud architectures and services that enable efficient
business operations, regardless of physical location.
- Effectively plan, prioritize and manage process improvement and
Infrastructure projects to insure timely delivery aligned with the
original goals and scope. Provide clear written goals, objectives
and task assignments; use fact-based logical reason to solve
problems; document progress and system development.
- Through department supervision and direct hands-on involvement,
maintain proficiency in resolving TPT IT customer requests for
assistance, training and technology solutions. Maintain competency
in PC and Mac installation and configuration; server permissions,
configurations and account management; printer troubleshooting;
telephone system configuration, operational support, and voicemail
operation; LAN configuration and troubleshooting; wireless system
support; and all aspects of firewall and network operations.
- Lead IT Operations & Infrastructure project initiatives, while
maintaining operational balance and stability.
- Create, manage, and advocate for budgetary allocations to allow
for technology/development costs and team growth.
- Coach and mentor IT Operations & Infrastructure Team.
- Manage all aspects related to vendors & third-party services.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
- Bachelor's degree in CS, MIS, or equivalent work
- 5-7 years of relevant work experience
- 3-5 years of management experience
- Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security,
network and systems administration, databases and data storage
systems, and phone systems
- Experience with service integrations
- Proven leadership skills and ability to lead others in defining
requirements and identifying solutions
- The ability to build and maintain relationships with internal
and external stakeholders
- Available for on-call duties, as well as off-hour Emergency &
