0.3 Job DescriptionJob Title: Lead Software Test EngineerProvide technical guidance to software testers working with automation frameworks and tools, general software development and testing best practices. Partner with team members to streamline quality processes, tools and technologies for gains in efficiency and superior content quality. Lead our quality approach, automation efforts, design and development for dockets that perform large-scale data cleansing, conversion, integration, loading, storage and retrieval.Duties include:1. Design and implement a process for delivering automation within agile delivery teams, including automation criteria;2. Develop robust testing frameworks that will scale for future growth across a variety of technologies;3. Provide technical guidance to testers and team members on how to analyze and test complicated features at various layers of the application stack;4. Analyze, report and provide other technical support services using SDLC and agile methodologies;5. Coordinate work tasks and maintain health of software under test using defect / issue-tracking tools;6. Augment existing frameworks to enhance coverage for integration and regression testing by applying knowledge of software automation;7. Set up test configurations, data and assertions, applying knowledge of SQL, Oracle database structures, Object-Oriented Programming, unit, component and integration testing, cloud technologies, Python, Hadoop and Selenium;8. Participate as full team member in daily standups, scrum of scrums, iteration planning, and other team activities;9. Design, modify or provide input to designs; take initiative and create quality software solutions adhering to industry standards and company best practices;10. Analyze and interpret user requirements, utilizing agile methods and practices for continuous builds; scope and define tasks and assign them to team members.Position Requirements:A Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field followed by 3 years of post-baccalaureate experience in a software development or software engineering quality assurance-related occupation.In the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field followed by 5 years of post-baccalaureate experience in a software development or software engineering quality assurance-related occupation.Experience must include the following, which may have been gained concurrently:1) 3 years of software testing and/or software development experience working with distributed Internet technologies, including Java, XML, and Selenium;2) 3 years of experience working with database technologies including Oracle and PL/SQL;3) 3 years of experience working with version control and build tools;4) 3 years of experience creating test automation frameworks;5) 3 years of experience with test planning and test case development;6) 2 years of experience mentoring, team building and providing performance feedback to more junior team members.Employer: West Publishing CorporationJob site: 610 Opperman Dr., Eagan, MN 55123.
