Job Description:

Demonstrate full proficiency of daily human resources processes and tools and assist employees and the Human Resources (HR) team in delivering a full spectrum of HR services, including recruitment, payroll, leave management, onboarding, employee transactions, and possibly safety or other related areas. Serve as a resource for employees and answer HR questions. Provide guidance to team members with less experience. Process personnel information and handle highly confidential material. Complete work with a limited degree of supervision.--JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAdminister payroll processing (e.g., tracking, auditing, transmitting, and correcting payroll transactions)Perform recruiting activities for the location such as resume screening, scheduling interviews, reference checks, background check/testing completion, etc.Assist the HR team and management to identify creative sourcing and hiring strategies and tactics to support staffing needsCoordinate the recruitment and onboarding of temporary employees in partnership with established contingent staffing agencies according to location needsCoordinate travel for candidates traveling outside of the area. Submit expense reports for candidates with expenses accrued while traveling for interviewsAssist with or facilitate the new hire onboarding processCoordinate new employee orientation for new hires; ensure new hire paperwork is complete including tax documents, I-9, E-verify, etc.Serve as a liaison to employees with employee benefits questions; assist with new hire benefit enrollment and open enrollmentSubmit terminations and employee changes to payroll in a timely mannerFacilitate leave management to ensure smooth transactions between employees, leave management system, payroll, and benefitsMaintain employee personnel files, recruiting documentation, employment verification, benefits information, and other documentation as required; track and follow-up on any missing documentation as neededRespond to HR inquiries either directly to the requesting party or provide background information for HR management team members regarding the inquiryServe as a liaison for corporate communications and post/distribute communications as appropriateMaintain required employment law postings in assigned locationSupport employee engagement process and actively participate in/plan/recommend employee recognition or appreciation eventsCoordinate training activities; ensure that new hire and employee training is completed in a timely manner and attend monthly DairyU coordinator meetingsComplete unemployment claims in required timeframeCompile information for special reports and projects; coordinate and distribute reportsThe requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required.
