Job Description:
The Payroll Systems Analyst is responsible for performing
advanced technical steps necessary to configure and maintain the
Payroll and Timekeeping systems. Responsible for identifying the
configuration needed for new business, annual benefit enrollment,
annual contract changes and union CBA changes. Responsible for
ensuring the system is setup properly to adhere to Federal, State,
Local, and international law, and employee contractual agreements.
The Payroll Technical Administrator also provides training,
guidance, and direction in accordance with departmental procedures
and company policies. This is a remote position.
Essential Responsibilities:
Administers Payroll systems configurations and process. Identifies
configurations needed for new business, annual benefit enrollment,
annual contract changes, and union CBA changes. Coordinates with IT
Operations, HRIS/HRMS to gather key requirements to identify and
implement system solutions. Manages numerous leave plan setups,
leave accrual process, balance audits and payouts within ADP
Enterprise version 5 (EV5) for Amentum USD paid employees and
within Deltek Costpoint version 8.0 for Amentum non-USD paid
employees. Responsible for monthly leave liability and true-up
journal entries.
Produces reports for analysis, decision making, and other company-
and employee-related needs as requested. Communicates trends in
data to assist with decision making. Provides reports, analysis,
pay statements, timesheets, and other supporting documents in
response to audit requests; ensures data integrity, supporting
documents complete and compliant with internal policy and various
external regulations.
Analyzes all system generated calculations to ensure gross wages
are appropriate based on: US Federal and State laws (all 50
states),international labor laws with multiple countries within
Asia, Africa, Mediterranean, Middle East, Eastern Europe, and South
America,multiple and independent Collective Bargaining
Agreements,contractual requirements set by each customer,the
McNamara O'Hara Service Contract Act, andcompany policy and
procedures. Creates new Pay Group values in ADP and Timesheet Cycle
period values in Costpoint. Creates new Pay Types and associated
customizations surrounding the pay type values. Creates new
Deduction and Memo codes and maps to the proper G/L Account,
Project and Organization. Trains and mentors new and existing
staff. Perform all other position related duties as assigned or
requested.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Strong collaborator with demonstrated ability to work successfully
with cross functional teams. Experience with some or all of the
below is required:
US federal and state employment laws, international labor law,
collective bargaining agreements, McNamara O'Hara Service Contract
Act, Fair Labor Standards Act; knowledge of Federal Acquisition
Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
Ability to analyze data and make accurate math calculations by
adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, calculating
percentages, and similar functions. Ability to quickly make
decisions based on accurate and timely data analysis. Capable of
working under pressure of deadlines and able to handle a high
volume of work in a fast-paced environment and must be able to
prioritize multiple competing tasks. 10-key by touch with a high
accuracy rate. Intermediate Excel skills to include use of pivots
and Vlookups. Knowledge of project accounting concepts.
Payroll/Timekeeping system experience preferred: Deltek CostPoint
version 7 or higher, ADP Enterprise v5 and Workday.
Five (5) years of experience in Payroll/Timekeeping. One (1) year
experience as Supervisor or Team Lead preferred with a Bachelor's
degree. Two years' related work experience may be substituted for
each year of the degree requirement. Experience processing
Payroll/Timekeeping for 5,000 or more employees with a large
multi-state or international employer preferred. Certified Payroll
Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC)
preferred.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Must be able to work extended hours to meet deadlines. Extended
hours may include late nights or weekends.
