Compliance Specialist role is responsible to ensure that Andersen
maintains compliance with all U.S. and Canadian payroll
requirements and operations for the enterprise. This position will
create and maintain policies and procedures to ensure our payroll
practices follow all applicable federal, state and municipal
regulations. In addition, this position is responsible for
supporting the business by continually assessing current processes
and implementing new solutions to support each enterprise location
in maintaining efficient and effective timekeeping methods. This
position is also responsible for payroll-related compliance matters
related to acquisitions, audits, legal claim support and reporting
requests received by the business. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves as subject matter expert on payroll compliance matters.
Monitors, audits and assesses federal, state and local payroll
regulations and ensures Andersen is compliant in all regards.
- Investigates and resolves payroll-based compliance matters with
company locations, outside agencies and vendors. Ensures and
maintains a strong internal control environment.
- Creates enterprise-wide policies and procedures that enable
efficient, effective and compliant payroll practices. Creates audit
policies/practices to ensure payroll policies to ensure
compliance.
- Creates meaningful and measurable metrics to monitor the
performance of the company's payroll function. Provides key metrics
and related analysis quarterly to Payroll Manager.
- Responsible for the systems/technologies that drive payroll
operations (e.g. PeopleSoft Payroll, Kronos) including upgrades,
enhancements, and reporting.
- Manages relationships with external payroll vendors,
participates in contract negotiations, in partnership with legal
department, providing input on contract terms and pricing, assures
service standards are maintained, addresses issues as they arise
and provides leadership in the implementation of enhanced and/or
new services.
- Leads special projects and continuous improvement efforts.
Identifies areas where standardization of processes are possible
and creates efficiencies through process or technological
improvements. Acts as the payroll lead for acquisitions and
divestiture.
- Serves as liaison with internal and external auditors and
state/federal agencies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- May travel with over-night stays to off-site locations as
needed.Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years of multi-state payroll processing experience
required
- 3-5 years of Canadian payroll processing experience preferred
(Toronto & Quebec)
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred
but not required
- Extensive working knowledge of federal, state and local payroll
law and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
with the ability to effectively communicate at any level of

has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee,
prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in
