Position SummaryThe Senior Manager of Payroll and HR Systems is primarily responsible for providing leadership and direction to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, and for the maintenance, security, and administration of the company's Human Resources systems and HRIS strategy.-- - In addition to this expertise, the position requires the incumbent to maintain complete confidentiality and adhere to company policy and laws.-- - Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to Payroll team membersProvide direction and strategy in the utilization, accuracy, and effectiveness of payroll operationsLead the organization-wide payroll operations, ensuring a consistent approach to deliveryCollaborate with Finance and Human Resources to ensure integration and alignment across methodologies and platformsProvide expertise regarding payroll and HRIS initiatives and tools to facilitate overall organizational performancePartner in the development of the strategic direction/roadmaps of the HRISManage the stabilization of new HRIS feature rollouts and ultimately lead the rollouts throughout the organizationOversee accurate processing of payroll. Pays employees by directing the production and issuance of paychecks or electronic transfers to bank accounts. Maintain the payroll database which includes processing all payroll changes, designing systems to find efficiencies, directing the collection, calculation, and entering of data while validating accuracy. Ensure the administration of all HR benefits/programs with regards to the HRIS system.Responsible for the oversight of effective HR database systems.-- - Develops, implements, and modifies system requirements as necessary.Prepares various HR reports to present to management/Executive Team.Guide team in developing and preparing reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages. Provide a high level of customer services by answering employee questions regarding payroll. Retain proper documentation for auditing purpose, insuring payroll records balance with employee and company data entry and reports. Validates payroll liabilities by approving the calculation of employee federal and state income and social security taxes, and employer's social security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments. Includes reconciliation of payroll provider deductions to quarterly reporting. Oversees the maintenance of payroll guidelines, including the writing and updating of policies and procedures. Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
