Treasure Island Resort & Casino is seeking a skilled Lead Cook to join our vibrant culinary team and play a pivotal role in our bustling kitchen operations. Situated near Minneapolis, our premier venue offers an exciting array of food services set against a lively casino and entertainment backdrop. This role demands a culinary enthusiast who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is keen to contribute to the exceptional dining experiences we promise our guests. The Lead Cook will oversee the preparation and presentation of meals, ensuring culinary standards are met while fostering a collaborative workspace. Manage daily kitchen activities, including overseeing staff and coordinating food orders. Supervise and participate in cooking and preparing high-quality dishes. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in the kitchen. Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed. Train new kitchen staff and offer guidance to junior chefs. Create and implement new recipes and menus. Review product quality and research new vendors. Proven culinary and presentation skills. Strong leadership and communication abilities. Experience with inventory management and cost control. Capable of thriving in a high-pressure environment. Proficient in using various cooking techniques and equipment. ServSafe Food Handler certification. Culinary certification or degree is favorable.
