  • 3-5 years' experience high volume food production
  • Understanding of food production and fundamental cooking techniques
  • Basic knife skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Ability to show up each day ready to contribute to your team, store, and community
  • Demonstrates strong initiative and multi-tasking skills

    • Experience scratch cooking with natural foods
    • 1+ years' team lead or supervisory experience including staff direction, coaching, and training
    • Experience in recipe development
    • ServSafe Certification
    • MultilingualPosition Summary:Cook II's are essential to the success of our Central Kitchen and Delis. The position will prepare food items from scratch for our three store locations, support leadership in training staff, ensure that the kitchen is clean, stocked, and that our products and practices meet all food safety and general safety requirements.Specific areas of accountability include customer service, food production, packaging, staff support, inventory, stocking, safety, and sanitation.Location: 740 East 7th Street, Saint Paul, MN 55106Schedule: Sunday - Thursday: 10am - 6pmEssential Job Functions:This position requires frequent standing as well as walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, reaching, stooping, pulling, fine motor manipulation, climbing (ladders), lifting of up to 50lbs, and the ability to move around our store and storage rooms, work in varying temperature conditions, with or without reasonable accommodation.*Employees that do not meet the definition of fully vaccinated are required to wear an effective and well-fitted face mask while working on-site.
