Customer Service Representative is responsible for professionally
managing incoming calls and emails from customers and the sales
team to electronically enter orders, resolve issues, and achieve
overall customer satisfaction. The Customer Service Representative
must demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to
work well with teams . Starting pay at $18.00 up to $22.00 an hour
Schedule: Monday - Tuesday, Thursday - Saturday; Wednesday and
Sunday off Hours: 8AM - 5PM Located 10 min from downtown St. Paul
Responsibilities Answering phones within the Transportation and
Customer Service department Preforming route adjustments Assisting
with ETA requests from the sales team Completing DOD paperwork
Manage incoming calls and emails from customers and the sales team
to electronically enter orders, resolve issues, and achieve overall
customer satisfaction. Proactively respond to Sales Representative
and/or Customer issues as needed on a timely basis. Collaborate
with the buyers and transportation to identify root cause of
customer issues and solve in a meaningful way. Provide timely
attention toward all daily administrative tasks from scanning and
logging credits to logging miss-picks. Maintain a deep working
knowledge of our product and service offerings in order to treat
each inbound call as an opportunity for growth. Prioritize and help
communicate route delays, holiday closures, created fresh grab and
go ordering information with a high degree of impact. Work in
conjunction with outside and inside sales team to direct inbound
calls toward the products featured in current product campaign,
fresh cuts, non-produce items and other cross selling
opportunities. Obtain customer and competitive information during
daily contacts and distribute as appropriate to develop sales
strategies. Support Sales and Marketing by appropriately
communicating customer feedback, product performance and
competitive intelligence. Participates fully in meetings, training
sessions, individual professional development and skill building.
Remain up to date on new products or enhancements. All other duties
assigned. Qualifications High school diploma required.
Post-secondary education in a related area of study strongly
preferred. 1 - 2 years of customer service experience required.
Ability to keep organized and prioritize tasks Produce, culinary
and/or food industry experience helpful. Excellent customer service
and communication skills. The ability to resolve issues effectively
and collaboratively. Proficient computer and 10 key skills. Ability
to multitask efficiently. Ability to confidently present product
information. This position requires sitting, standing, walking,
reaching, bending, lifting (not to exceed 50 pounds) Working at a
computer and on the phone for 8-10 hours per day. BIX Produce is an

11 years in the produce business. Bix Produce Company acquired
Beckman Produce in September of 1997 and merged both operations
into a brand new 58,000 square foot facility in Saint Paul,
Minnesota. In addition to office and warehouse space, the facility
contains a state of the art processing facility, which utilizes the
most advanced equipment in the industry. Our processing of produce,
both fresh fruits and vegetables is a six day per week, around the
clock. We proudly employ over 260 people in our plant. In December
of 2006 Bix added an additional 21,000 square feet of refrigerated
warehouse space. The additional space will allow Bix to handle the
growing demand for Organic Produce as well as expanding our
offering of specialty produce.
