Job Description Job Description Salary: *Must have reliable
transportation. This position involves paid travel throughout MN on
daily basis. Job Overview: The Specimen Collection Technician has
responsibilities and duties related to patient care in a laboratory
setting. The individual must display behaviors that comply with the
clinic's strict privacy and confidentiality of patient and clinic
information, as well as communicate effectively with physicians,
staff, and patients. The UA Collector must demonstrate competency
in all skills related to the performance of their job description.
Primary Responsibility: Specimen collection, including urine
samples, at various sites with VMW partners Preform lab duties
including but not limited to: handling specimens, urine rapid drug
testing, and shipping specimens Label creation and data entry into
LIMS and/or EMR system Verify patient identity and obtain patient
demographics Complete lab requisition forms Appropriately label and
ship specimens Confirms and clarifies physician and lab orders The
UA Collector reports to the Territory Manager. Performs related and
delegated tasks, Essential Qualifications/Education Level/Preferred
Experience, License, Certification: Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
Strong computer skills Excellent communication skills Excellent
customer service skills Reliable vehicle Valid Drivers License
Valid Vehicle registration and insurance Required Education,
Experience and Credentials: Requires: 4-Year degree in College
Additional Position Details: (hours, locations, commute) Ability to
facilitate for up to 10 hours a day Ability to travel up to 10%
Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and
hear Frequently required to reach with hands and arms Occasionally
required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch Occasionally
required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift
and/or move up to 25 pounds Specific vision abilities required by
this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision,
peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm Compensation: $20.00 an hour
*The compensation range may represent the low and high end of the
base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will
vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors
including but not limited to location, experience, qualifications,
education, internal equity and business needs.
